Just how differently a soundtrack can tell a film's story can be witnessed at the European Talent Competition. For the animation short GRANDMA by Karolien Raeymaekers the nominees created their own world of sound and music. Additionally the participants had to face the challenge to create a soundtrack without using any third party sound or music libraries.
The prizes are the WDR Filmscore Award which entitles a recording session with the WDR Funkhausorchester and the European Talent Award for Best Sounddesign and a professional film sound editing session at the Fun De Mental Studios in Frankfurt.
