Cinematic, immersive, hypnotic - in the special ambience of the Kleiner Sendesaal of the WDR Jeff Rona and Peter Gregson play music influenced by minimalism and ambient. Rona has worked with Philip Glass (POWAQQATSI), Cliff Martinez (TRAFFIC) and Hans Zimmer (THE THIN RED LINE) and with directors such as Ridley Scott, Steven Spielberg, Wong Kar-Wai and Robert Altman. His music for films such as EXIT WOUNDS and video games like GOD OF WAR 3 is often characterized by ethnic elements, so he will also enrich this concert with unusual instruments. The music also features the cello played by 28-year-old cellist and composer Peter Gregson. He already played first performances of works by Tod Machover, Gabriel Prokofiev and Steve Reich and has recently written his first music for a feature film to Alan Rickman's film A LITTLE CHAOS. Alongside the classical cello, the versatile musician plays the entire range of e-cello, which can be heard among others in the film score for the TERMINATOR GENISYS, where he shows its plentiful possibilities.
In this 90-minute sound and picture experience, various guests such as composer and producer Andreas Kolinski and composer Helge Borgarts will join them on stage.
